Downhill/freeride spots in Toscana during fall/spring?

Hi!

I often travel to Lucca, Toscana, but mostly in the fall or spring so Abetone Gravity Park is closed

Does anyone know any other downhill/freeride spots i Toscana?

I do not need a lift.... I will drive/walk/climb with my bike if nescesary

doganaccia should be open in those seasons

Doganaccia is open with cableway. Coming from lucca is more or less 20 min. before abetone. There you can ride for about 5-6 km. I use to go often and I went last week and is ok.

Anyway if snow is too much I think you cannot ride. If not much but only in the peak is good.

Before to go, ask conditions here in the forum to be sure.

you can ride monti pisani as well........right , you have to climb by your own means to the peak, but the ride is good whatever the weather and a few kilometers away from lucca,
trails are nice and though, and on the splopes facing pisa, there are 3 trails with drops, small north shores, jigsaw step up and banked curves

you can join two crews, lucca centered appalla http://www.appalla.com/ they usually climb by bike
and pisa centered crak bike http://www.crakbike.it/home/home.html# usually climbing by car

you can ride monti pisani as well......... i 'm a lot more xc oriented..........but as good as many at descending......

...and probably the best connoisseur of the Monte Pisano traks... (these and many more)

Monti Pisani is a great ride. Check out the trail "Mcleod" on youtube and you will want to go there. You have to ride to the top, but it's a gradual climb on paved road. I've lived in this area now for 6 months and find a new trail on Monti Pisani almost every time I go there.
